CBM Project Management Division Secures Ang Mo Kio Town Council Contract

In yet another partnership with the Ang Mo Kio Town Council, CBM Project Management Division secured the Neighbourhood Renewal Programme (NRP) and Electrical Load Upgrading (ELU) works for blocks 633 to 662 in Hougang Avenue 8.
CBM is set to push forward comprehensive improvements across neighbouring precincts of the Ang Mo Kio-Hougang Division, carrying out architectural, structural and electrical upgrading works for a period of 15 months, starting June 2013.
CBM’s BCA Workheads for ACMV (ME01) and Integrated Building Services (ME15) successfully upgraded to L6

CBM Pte Ltd was successfully upgraded to a financial grading of L6 by the Building and Construction Authority (BCA) for its Mechanical and Electrical (ME) workheads: Air-conditioning, Refrigeration & Ventilation Works (ME01) and Integrated Building Services (ME15). The L6 grading is the highest grade for the ME01 and ME15 category under the Contractors Registration System and qualifies CBM to tender for ME projects and contracts of unlimited value in Singapore.
CBM’s tendering limit upgrade was achieved following a stringent evaluation process by BCA. The raised financial grades are indicative of CBM’s outstanding track record, strong financial credentials and its highly-qualified technical professionals.
CBM Project Management Division Awarded Contracts by HDB and Ang Mo Kio Town Council

Testament to its proven track record, CBM Project Management Division successfully clinched contracts with the Housing and Development Board (HDB) and the Ang Mo Kio Town Council.
These projects will see the project management team embarking on retrofitting works for HDB at various Ang Mo Kio and Boon Lay HDB flats and a Neighbourhood Renewal Programme (NRP) and Electrical Load Upgrading (ELU) works for the Ang Mo Kio Town Council. CBM will also assist the Ang Mo Kio Town Council with a new electrical substation at Ang Mo Kio Avenue 4 / 9 and rewiring works to specified blocks in the Yio Chu Kang Division.

CBM Establishes Fourth Overseas Joint Venture in Thailand

CBM started the year with the establishment of its fourth overseas joint venture, CBM Facilities Management (Thailand) Co., Ltd. in Bangkok, Thailand on 3 January 2013. CBM Thailand will provide integrated facilities management (IFM) services to meet the growing needs of the commercial, residential, government and hospitality industries in Thailand.

CBM Relocates to New Tech Park

To better accommodate its recent and future expansion, CBM moved from its current location at the URA Centre East Wing to a new space at New Tech Park on 23 November 2012.
Centrally located in one of Singapore’s popular industrial and residential areas, the new office at Lorong Chuan is easily accessible to the Central Expressway (CTE) and conveniently sited just opposite the Lorong Chuan MRT station.
At New Tech Park, we will also bring together staff from CBM’s group of companies including its latest subsidiary, Ingensys, allowing for greater cross-functional collaborations and improved efficiencies.
CBM Solutions successfully accredited as an ESCO

CBM Solutions has been successfully accredited as an Energy Service Company (ESCO) and is one of only 18 companies in Singapore recognised under a nationally-recognised Register of Accredited ESCOs (Auditing Services).
An ESCO is a company dedicated to the provision of energy efficient technology and services including financing, design, implementation and management of projects. With the development and expansion of the energy service sector as a significant growth potential in Singapore and the region, the accreditation system was established to enhance professionalism and raise the quality of services offered by ESCOs. This helps clients to streamline their procurement process and reduce overall tendering cost, leading to greater overall confidence and growth in the energy services sector.
Backed by a wealth of experience and expertise, CBM Solutions’ ESCO accreditation will position the company well to take on the emerging energy services market.
CBM Joins Singapore Compact as Corporate Member

As a growing industry leader, CBM is cognisant of the need to address more than just its financial performance and continually strives to integrate. CSR into all aspects of its business. To further align its CSR strategy, CBM joined the Singapore Compact for CSR in October 2012 as a corporate member.
Through its membership with Singapore Compact, CBM hopes to increase its participation in the sharing of ideas and perspectives with other stakeholders to continually develop best practices in its operations.
CBM Secures Taman Jurong Shopping Centre Project

Located near Jurong Stadium, the Taman Jurong Shopping Centre houses a total of 61 shops that offer a large variety of goods and services to cater to the daily needs of the residents. This shopping centre has approximately 8,000 square metres of retail area and serves a catchment size of more than 6,600 dwelling units.
CBM will provide Addition & Alteration (A&A) works to the shopping centre over the next few months to revitalise the development.
CBM Awarded Contract To Provide IFM services For HDB Blks 54, 56 & 62 Sims Drive

HDB Blks 54, 56 & 62 located at Sims Drive fall under the HDB’s Interim Rental Housing (IRH)scheme introduced in 2009 as an interim housing measure for families who need temporary shelter but are able to work towards a longer-term housing solution.
As the appointed IRH operator, CBM will assist with the provision of temporary rental accommodation to needy families who fall into hardship and have urgent housing needs. CBM will also provide security services, Addition & Alteration works and building maintenance services.
CBM Re-Certified For ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001

CBM successfully renewed its IMS certificate for the three ISO standards - ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001. The re-certification was awarded to CBM after a thorough audit by SGS International Certification Services Singapore. CBM was re-certified with no Minor or Major Non-Conformities.

SS 540 Certification ensures disruption-free service delivery

Adding to its impressive accreditation record, CBM was awarded the Business Continuity Management (BCM) SS 540 certification in mid-December. This certification is proof of how CBM ensures reliable and continued quality services at all times to help its esteemed clients even in times of crisis. Being BCM-ready is more than just strengthening corporate resilience against disruption to its operations; it also helps enhance clients' confidence in CBM as a trusted and sustainable business partner.
As one of the first FM companies in Singapore to obtain the BCM SS 540 certification, CBM has once again demonstrated leadership in business excellence and service delivery.

CBM Security Pte Ltd receives Grade A status from SIRD for the 5th consecutive year

For the fifth consecutive year since 2007, CBM Security Pte Ltd was awarded the highest grading, Grade A, by the Security Industry Regulatory Dept (SIRD). This ranks CBM Security as one of the best security agencies in the industry within the country.
The award is based on an annual exercise to audit all licensed Security Agencies (SAs) in Singapore to provide an assessment to the performance of the SAs. The Grading System also helps service buyers to discern service quality, motivate SAs to improve operation capability and to strategically elevate standards of private security industry in Singapore.
CBM: 40th Anniversary Celebration

A celebration was held in August 2011 to mark the 40th anniversary of CBM as one of Singapore's leading one-stop solution centre for building management and maintenance services.
The celebratory-worthy moment was shared by not just CBM employees but also with our suppliers, partners and stakeholders, which was filled with exciting games, food served buffet style, lucky draw prizes, and cake-cutting ceremony.
It was an unforgettable interactive night for everybody as exciting games filled the night and attractive prizes were given to the lucky participants. Some staff even walked home with attractive prizes like an Apple i-Pad, electrical fan and rice cooker while others were rewarded with cash and gift vouchers.
The night ended on a sweet note with a customised cake cutting ceremony to celebrate the birth of CBM, as heralded by Mr Roy Chiang, CEO/President of CBM. Everybody present was invited to have a piece of cake in celebration of this notable moment.
A commemorative 40th anniversary CBM company mug was given out to all attendees that night to mark the occasion and thank people for showing their relentless support towards CBM for four decades.
CBM re-certified as an eco-friendly office

CBM has been re-certified with the Green Office Label Certification in recognition of its eco-friendly office practices.
Some of its environmentally-friendly efforts are to reduce its energy consumption by using energy saving lights, setting auto-off mode on its office equipment when not in use, and purchasing products that have Energy Saving Labels.
CBM’s staff also plays an active role by religiously following the required eco-guidelines and practices within the office. CBM is also continuously gathering ideas on sustainability from staff, with a view to create more “green” site offices. The plan is to build “green” ideas collectively from its office and site-based staff to achieve its sustainability objectives.

CBM Security has been awarded the 'A' grade by The Security Industry Regulatory Department (SIRD).
The aims of the Security Agencies (SAs) Grading Exercise are to provide an assessment to the performance of the SAs, help service buyers to discern service quality, motivate SAs to improve operation capability and to strategically elevate standards of private security industry in Singapore.
With this 'A' grade, CBM Security has once again proven itself to have the highest operational and service standards and provides quality security services.

CBM inks MOU with Nanjing Technical Vocational College

A Memorandum of Agreement (MOU) has been signed between CBM and Nanjing Technical Vocational College (NTVC) to explore recruitment and training opportunities for students at NTVC.
The agreement is in line with NTVC’s commitment to provide its Engineering students, not only practical education but also hands-on application. As part of the MOU, CBM will provide adequate practical application for NTVC’s students in Singapore. The first batch of students will go through CBM’s comprehensive Training Programme that will expose them to industry’s standards in the real working environment.
bizSAFE Star Certification

CBM has progressively achieved the highest level in the bizSAFE programme, which aims to improve safety and health in the workplace. Through the implementation of comprehensive risk management systems and procedures, and being certified OHSAS 18001-2007 organisation, CBM’s safety & health management system achieved the international standards.
Integrated Management System Certification for CBM

CBM has been awarded the Integrated Management System Certification, which comprises the ISO 9001-2008, ISO 14001-2004 and OHSAS 18001-2007.
ISO 9001 is a certification for quality management, while ISO 14001 is given for meeting the environmental standard systems. OHSAS 18001 certification for Occupational Health and Safety standard has been developed to be compatible with the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. Each of these standards has its own requirement.
ECC is one of the few Managing Agent companies to obtain ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004. ECC also obtained the certification in its first attempt.
These certifications are considered a testimony for the company’s dedicated efforts to develop world-class standards and continually improve on its streamlined processes.
