Revitalising Homes: CBM, SAJC, and Toa Payoh RN Zone 4 Kicks Off CBM Home Refresh 2025 with Home Assessment Phase
CBM embarked on the first phase of CBM Home Refresh with volunteers from SAJC and Toa Payoh Central Zone 4 Residents’ Network (RN).
CBM Pte Ltd (CBM) launched the annual CBM Home Refresh Programme 2025 CSR initiative with student volunteers from St. Andrew’s Junior College (SAJC) and the Toa Payoh Central Zone 4 Residents’ Network (RN). The initiative aims to support low-income families in HDB estates by providing pro-bono cleaning, handyman, and repair services.
This year’s Home Refresh Programme is no different from previous initiatives over the past three years. The programme is carried out in two phases: the Home Assessment phase and the Execution phase. Volunteers kicked off the Home Assessment phase on 23 Aug 2025, setting out to visit and assess the needs of 639 units at Blocks 103 to 106, Toa Payoh Lorong 1. Students and staff also had the opportunity to connect with the residents socially, understanding the challenges they face in their day-to-day living.
CBM and SAJC Student Volunteers approached residents of Blocks 103 – 106 during the CBM Home Refresh: Assessment Phase.
It was truly a meaningful and enriching experience for all involved as participants gleaned insights into different spectrums of society, and as the RN further deepened their bonds with the residents. The Execution phase will commence in Oct 2025, with CBM staff attending to the assessed homes and delivering the services needed.
